BRISBANE, Australia (AFP) - Brisbane police have posted criminal charges against the fan who launched himself at South African fly-half and kicker Louis Koen in the dying seconds of the World Cup game against Samoa.
The 29-year-old Sydney man, who was not identified, was on Sunday charged with interfering with a player under Section 32 of the Major Sporting facilities Act and was to appear before magistrates here Monday.
Dressed in Samoan blue and with his face painted red, the fan lept over a fence and ran onto the ground as Koen, who had come on as a replacement, readied to kick a conversion attempt.
Koen was unhurt in the bizarre incident, even succeeding with his kick, but the invader appeared to be knocked unconscious and was taken away on a stretcher after touchline treatment. There was no word on his condition.
per la cronaca il Sudafrica ha poi vinto 60-10 anche se il record resta il 142-0 rifilato dai Wallabies alla Namibia.
